Exclusive resort in Malaysian Borneo set to raise the luxury bar

written by Andrew Rixon on Sunday 12th of July 2009

The Kudat Riviera resort in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo will open this Autumn. The resort is spread along a six kilometre stretch of pristine, coral-fringed coastline. It combines the privacy and seclusion of an exclusive villa with sandy white beaches, crystal clear waters, secluded covers and miles of undulating hills and valleys.

borneoresort1Malaysian Borneo is one of the planet''s most diverse destinations, with a rich marine environment for scuba diving with a exotic rainforest overlooking the sea. This gives the visitor a large choice for excursions and activities. The Kudat Riviera provides the ideal base for exploring the region.

The resort will feature the Rustique restaurant, which is an informal beach club restaurant. Then 900 feet above sea level, there will be the Cavia Sky Lounge. With 360 degree views of the ocean, Mount Kinablu and the northernmost tip of Borneo, its looking like being one of the most spectacular restaurants in the world.

There will be 29 expansive luxury villa estates, each occupying between one and eight acres of private land. 12 are due to open this year.
