Meridian celebrate 40th anniversary of Led Zeppelin
Meridian Audio Celebrate 40th Anniversary of Led Zeppelin
For 30 years, Meridian Audio have been producing some of the most highly regarded speakers in the industry. I'm sure its safe to say that plenty of Led Zeppelin has been played through their speakers, so its fitting that Meridian are helping to celebrate 40 years of their music.
Knebworth House is the location of a month long exhibition dedicated to the band. Entitled Memories in Music 1968 – 2008, the show has built up a lot of following already, with fans all over the world loaning their memorabilia.
As part of a fantastic competition, fans will get the chance to win a Meridian F80 signed by Jimmy Page. The F80 is a complete home entertainment system, which has won awards for the quality of the sound produced from such a small machine. There are also other prizes such as Jon Ellinor's painting of Led Zeppelin.
The F80 is an amazing product. It's not much bigger than a shoebox, yet propels music across a room like a larger amp and speaker set. It really needs to be heard to be believed. It's made in conjunction with Ferrari who manufacture the casing for the speakers, which eliminates the vibration that spoils lesser units.
The F80 is priced at under £1500, which makes it ideal for the home or office. It even has a dvd visual output from the joint cd / dvd drive.
The Led Zeppelin show is held at Knebworth House from 1st August till the 3rd September 2008. The proceeds are going to the ABC Trust, which helps children in Brazil.
Visitors can view a vast collection of memorabilia, from the red jacket that belonged to John Bonham to photos by Frank Melfi. It would make a great trip for any music fan.

Did Russian billionaire buy 496 million euro property?
Recently, it was reported that Villa Leopolda was sold to a Russian billionaire for just under 500 million euros. It soon revealed that Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov was behind the sale. As is the habit with Russian oligarchs, Prokhorov made his billions in precious metals. In 2007 he launched a $17 billion private investment fund, so he was definitely wealthy enough to purchase the property.
