As Blackberrys slowly take over the world, Palm have been working away to develop their latest phone, the Palm Treo 750. This model has been recently released independently of any network, so it makes for a very efficient and sensible choice of upgrade.
It was a big step for Palm to take to offer an alternative to their ever-popular ugly but ergonomic operating system. But before they adopted Microsoft Windows Mobile 5 for their new phone, they made some significant tweaks to the operating system to make it function like a proper Palm.
The Palm’s operating system allows all the functionality of a Blackberry, including that elusive ‘Push’ email technology. Google Maps is already available for the Treo 750 and Microsoft are currently developing a web browser similar to the version of Safari that Apple will be shipping on their iPhone later this year.
The Palm Treo 750 has not only proven itself as a robust and reliable gadget, but has already become a requirement for many people in the Lusso office.
An update to the operating system will be released soon, and depending on your network provider will install itself on the devices automatically. Visit palm.com for information.
