Dorchester Group Rebrands

Dorchester Group Rebrands with Basso & Brooke

On the 10th November 2006 the Dorchester Group celebrated 10 years since its establishment. To mark this occasion the group who own The Dorchester in London, Le Meurice and Plaza Athénée in Paris, The Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills and Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan are re-branding as The Dorchester Collection.

The new name and image has been developed to support the group’s growth plans and signal a change to the strategic goals of the company: to develop an impeccable collection of the world’s finest hotels, traditional and contemporary, and always highly individual.

To highlight these gems, the Dorchester Collection has teamed up with cutting edge London based designers Basso & Brooke who have been commissioned to interpret the individuality of each hotel through the creation of five luxurious costumes. Haute-couture milliner Stephen Jones will complement the outfits with five specially commissioned hats and five of the world’s most prestigious photographers, including Greg Williams who photographed The Dorchester, have captured the essence of each hotel in one shot. A sixth photographer and supermodel Helena Christensen was chosen to photograph the ‘essence’ of the Collection’s main attributes, prestige and comfort.

Fashionista’s will be interested to know that The Dorchester Collection has just introduced its fantastic new ‘Fashion Collection Package’ across its five hotels. Guests who book the two-night weekend package will receive a bespoke Basso & Brooke silk scarf, worth £150, depicting design details from all the hotels. Also included in the package is an individual gift from each of the hotel boutiques, a welcome bottle of champagne, a full breakfast and a room upgrade on arrival. Upgrades are subject to availability so book now and make sure you are first in the queue!
