We've followed the Aero GP at Lusso since the beginning. The most recent race was held in Romania and it was won by a British Pilot, Gerald Cooper.
Over 100,000 people watched the race in the Black Sea resort of Mamaia beach in Constanta. Seven pilots took to the sky to battle it out over three disciplines; air racing, aerobatics and air-to-air combat.
It is fantastic to watch and with high G forces, its a true test for the pilots. The main advantage over ground based motorsport is the spectator can watch the whole race from one position.
The race comes to England on the weekend of the 28th and 29th June, when Blackpool beach will be the host to the next round as part of the National Veterans Day celebrations.

Aero GP travels to Abu Dhabi for the first air race of 2009
Aero GP will host the first Grand Prix of the 2009 Aero GP Series in late January in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE. Al Ain will host the race, which is being held on the weekend of the 28th to 31st of this month. It's a true spectacle to watch and with multiple airplanes racing against eachother, its fantastic entertainment.
