When talking to anyone at GHD, there is one thing you must bear in mind - if you call their Styler a “Straightener” then they will be most displeased! It has been a few years since I owned a pair of GHD stylers, so I was keen to see if there had been any change in that time. The first thing I noticed was how nice they are to hold.
It isn’t a very important aspect, but when you pay for the most expensive brand on the market every little helps. Only a few seconds after flicking the switch, a quick three beeps signify that the correct temperature has been reached. Unlike my previous (non-GHD) set, there is only one temperature. To tell the truth, I only ever used one setting on them though, so I wasn’t missing out on anything. It seems to me that the GHDs consistently only take one pass to straighten my hair, which can seriously cut down my styling time each morning - it’s a real boon. When the going gets curly the GHDs were also on top form, their narrow construction means that curls can be formed much more naturally than with cheaper wide and flat straighteners. On a more practical note, they turn themselves off after 30 minutes, so no more burnt carpets. That has to be a good thing.
