Lusso recently previewed the new luxury range of luggage from British manufacturer Antler. Having owned some other Antler products for many years, I was keen to see how this new luggage set would survive. Having a trip planned to the Alps for the Megavalanche mountain bike race, this would provide a great test.
I took the large rollercase and the messenger bag for the week. The case has a 95 litre capacity and weighs just 3.6kilos. Although its just black in colour, it actually looks very stylish and being seen with it in an airport lounge would not be reason for embarrassment. The subtle Antler and Size Zero logos are well placed.
The case works very well. The handles are all tough. I purposely overfilled the case for the French trip to test it and it just looked back at me and laughed. The straps, stitching, zips and overall construction are of great quality. You can tell that Antler's investment in product testing has been worthwhile.
The messenger bag is a great freebie to get with the case, being the perfect size for a laptop and inflight essentials. It weighs next to nothing and has a 13litre capacity. The same quality of construction is evident here. The only feature lacking is a pad for the shoulder strap.
Overall the Antler range is superb. It's stylish and looks many times more expensive than the price of just £149 for the large case.
